American Gods and Garfield

  • Get the link to your Google Talk chatback (via Harper)
  • Got a membership to LibraryThing. Getting as much as I can onto the Kindle (& selling the paper versions) so I need something to keep track. #
  • はろ #
  • Twitter is allowing me to randomly log in as random people whenever I hit “Sign Out” TWITTER FREAKOUT!!! FIX ME!! #
  • Twitter needs to fix this random session bug! I’m not this person.. if you need help to fix it contact me at http://rosshill.com.au #
  • JEEZ Twitter!! WTH?! (from the real edith) #
  • ROCKSTAR!! One of the developers of the Google Talk chatback gadget thingy just stopped in to say hi. Checking in with the early adopters. #
  • FYI I’m in the middle of “Kafka on the Shore” by Haruki Murakami, and loving it. Always a pleasure to read his stuff. #
  • Wil took me out for MEXICAN food. MMMMMmmmm. #
  • Finally finished “A Fire Upon the Deep” by Vernor Vinge. Great book, balls-to-the-wall SF. Hard to get into at first, then hard to put down. #
  • I’ve been researching. Mutual followers CAN see my actions section on Twitter after all. Some people have too many Twitter accounts. (grin) #
  • Talked on the phone w/ Shelley for like two hours. It’s not her or me, it’s the combination. We can YAK. So good to have a friend like that. #
  • Some lovely neighbor is filling up OUR garbage can with THEIR trash. And I bet I know who. Grrrr!!! #
  • Just to be sure I’m not (TOO) crazy, can *any* of you see an Actions section on my Twitter profile? (To message/nudge.) If so, please reply. #
  • I’m stealing Pajo’s shopping cart like a thief in the night! He won’t care, he stole it from Drag City anyway. And it’s for the Common Good. #
  • GAAKKK!! I swallowed a hair in my food and just about hurled. Don’t know if it was *my* hair. Don’t want to know. #
  • My “E-Store” is live! It’s a little ugly, I need nicer icons. But it works. Buy some stuff! http://edithfrost.com/store/ #
  • Sending Amazon a big list of broken links in a Kindle book I’m reading. They’re not paying me… it’s just annoying and I’m anal like that. #
  • Some unknown caller has called our landline **13** times in the last two days without leaving a message. Ringer’s off. Suck it! #
  • Twitter is buggin’ out on me. I got no “Actions” section so nobody can DM or nudge me. Pretty sure “d edithfrost blah blah” works though. #
  • Wanna see the eclipse but can’t even find the moon, where’s it supposed to be? Half cloudy over here in the East Bay; it’s probably hiding. #
  • Who is this unknown caller who keeps not leaving a message? Jagoff. #
  • Saw the eclipse! It *was* hiding. Hey… ya ever notice how Ira Glass pronounces his show “This Amerikung Life”? Always sounds weird to me. #
  • Applied for a seriously cool job, even tho I’m not sure that job actually exists. Can I just elbow my way into the best company I can find? #
  • Memphis Minnie - Videos and mp3s
  • Trying to remember the first piece of spam I ever got, that would’ve been like ‘93. I think I wrote them back. “How did you get my address?” #
  • Applied for a datajock job. My resume is such a joke, but I do have skillz. Too bad all record-store attempts have failed, it’s slow season. #
  • FUCK! I accidentally followed a bunch of people I didn’t mean to follow. I blame Twitter for not explaining that “next” button. #
  • (These are people Gmail put in my contacts, who aren’t necessarily ppl *I’d* call contacts, or aren’t even using their Twitter. Sorry folks) #
  • Reexamining what happened… my fault: boxes were checked, I didn’t notice. “Continue” might oughta be changed to “Follow” tho, for clarity. #
  • @senorfluffface: I kept you, on purpose! I only deleted the, you know, support ppl (Gmail auto-added) and ppl who don’t use their twitter. #
  • Looking for a lifestream plugin for WP that’ll pull my twits etc. into the db, which I’m currently doing by hand. Most of them just cache. #
  • @jennatar: That’s one of the ones I’m looking at, yep. :-) Also WP-Autoblog & WP-o-Matic #
  • @jennatar: works for me in GReader. #
  • @jennatar: the url google decided to use is like so: http://tinyurl.com/2l6wn7 #
  • @jennatar: view source? perhaps your browser isn’t set up to directly view rss feeds #
  • @jennatar: How come I can see it then? maybe run it through a validator #
  • No progress on the lifestreaming thing, but I do have nicer pagination! I’m going with a lateral approach, heheh. #
  • Can raccoons open windows? Because one is trying to do that right now, dammit. #
  • I have a new friend who’s a fabulously talented mosaic artist. Check it out. http://flickr.com/photos/ca… #
