  • Crochet is HARD!! Watching those ladies makes me dizzy. How do they do that? How do they even find their frickin’ stitches on the 1st chain? #
  • I just crocheted myself a chain necklace so I can hang my stitch counter around my neck! DORK. #
  • Forcing myself to knit Continental stylee. Results are a little uneven right now but it’ll really pay off later. http://twitpic.com/9gny #
  • ¡Sí se puede! Fixed my cable twist. It was a little dicey, there might be a couple twisted stitches in there now, but it looks pretty okay. #
  • BLARRGH I messed up again! 2nd twist in wrong direction, so cable is just LAYING on top of itself instead of twisting under. Can I fix this? #
  • Ugh I messed up. My scarf got turned inside out like 20 rows ago, among other things. Nice try but I won’t be happy with it. Starting over. #
  • I finished my zigzag scarf! I’ll get the pics up on my blog soon but here’s the URL on Ravelry if you’re a member. http://tinyurl.com/64s29t #

My newest creation!

Triple Play ScarfJust kidding, I found it online. A monstrosity like that would probably strangle its owner.

  • Another knotThanks Lion Brand for all the frickin’ KNOTS! Joining yarn like 3x per skein is SO good times. #
  • Got circular needles, a cable needle & set of DPNs. Reading a lot, maybe getting too ambitious too fast? But I wanna get to the good stuff! #

Zigzag scarf in progress

Zigzag scarf in progressI had a “lifeline” in the middle there, so I could rip it out to that point if I messed up later on. I’ve done two or three more repeats since then, and decided to ditch the lifeline. If I screw up, I screw up.

  • Wow, Ravelry is amazing, I’m getting sucked in just like Kelsey told me I would. Anybody else I know over there? Look me up as “cowgal”. #
  • One of my WordPress plugins seems to be deleting posts. Now it’s one that had comments!! (the hat picture). God fucking dammit. Uninstall. #

Project #3

Project #3I’m making a zigzag scarf now. I LOVE this color, hopefully I’ll be more likely to want to wear it. And it’s a softer, less scratchy yarn this time. The pattern is just garter stitch all the way, increasing or decreasing at the end of every row. Good practice!

  • I finished the scarf that goes with the hat I made before. I might be caught dead in that getup, but just barely. I *am* getting better tho! #
