An review (author unknown) of my first EP that appeared in the July 1996 issue of Anti-Zine

Edith and her guitar rustle up some solemn and beautiful campfire songs that harken back to Mazzy Star and Kendra Smith but are simpler and more basic and therefore more kick ass. Drag City released these demos "unadulterated" as they say so you can enjoy Frost’s otherworldly presence in its natural state.

Each song while maintaining the same mood casts a different shadow across Frost’s neighborhood. It seems to be a rarity these days to put out a product that doesn’t sound the same all the way through. Kudos to Frost on this point. "Evangeline" has an addictive hook that reminds me of pop melodies of the late 60’s/early 70’s. "Blame you" is a darker Mazzy Star like tune that thrives without instruments beyond voice and guitar. Possibly on the loner girl soundtrack this year is "my god insane", murky like the badlands. I love it. Finally, "waiting room" diverges by using a Casio. Not bad at all. In fact, it’s a winner!
