I have mixed feelings. It doesn't bother me when someone shares a song or two, but I have been bothered seeing people sharing my entire catalog at once. (My whole life's work being given away for free.) Either way though, I would hope people would want to buy my CDs even if they already had all the songs on MP3.

I do think the RIAA has always been a greedy monster. The fact that they got a million bucks from the company for sharing MP3s internally (between employees)... that was bullshit IMO. The AG suit may or may not have merit -- AG *is* having trouble getting their blocking to work. That is worrisome. I want to be able to trade files LEGALLY, so that the musicians get compensated somehow, and I don't want to pay a lot for that muffler!!

Edith, what are your thoughts on all of this file sharing stuff? As an artist, do you feel ripped off when someone shares your music? Or are you happy for the additional exposure?

A little of both maybe?
