My english professor at Louisiana State University used to play the Bass for Talmadge d’ amour. They did a song called "race of slaves" which i cannot find anything about it on the computer but maybe somebody could help me out. Thank you.
Their guitarist Bill was my ex-b.f. I remember Seth and the others but… what is it you wanted to know? They never made a record if that’s what you’re thinking, although they did have a video for "Race of Slaves" which got played on MTV once.
I was just playing around with my son and looked up ba syndicate. That’s wild that you saw us. I was the trumpet/’guitarist’/sax player. What do you remember of that? I remember liking the people in talmadge d’amour very much. You must be a professional concert goer.
thanks
Paula
I remember you Paula! I knew Rusty from Apple Records in San Antonio, that’s how I knew about the band. Seems like I also saw y’all play in SAT, can’t remember the name of that swanky old club downtown. As soon as I press ’submit’ I’ll remember.
hello edith frost,
i was doing research and ended up here. wow, that was a loooong time ago. i can’t place you…but that’s not saying much…i don’t remember lots of stuff. haven’t been back to SA in over 20 years (except for a 24 hour layover). thanks for the jolt to my memory…bittersweet…
russell
…actually, i think you do look familiar.
my my you are quite the archivist. that’s wonderful. i wish i was. i tend toward throwing everything out that’s not essential to NOW…but looking backward just recently and finding posts like yours or photo relics of a past that was mine too, i wish i had kept some things. memorabilia, talismans, tokens
take care

Well, I was just a punk kid in there buying records and picking your brain for what stuff to get. I would’ve looked something like this.
