Wow, the show last night went soooooo much better than the soundcheck.  I guess Giambeppe got the kinks worked out for me because by the time I played, I had full monitor action and could hear everything fine.  Better than fine… it was fuckin’ HUGE!!  Which is great for my voice, but the downside is that you can hear every little goof-up in my guitar playing, which isn’t nearly as good as my singing.  Well, I didn’t screw up anything too bad.  The audience was great, they were there to LISTEN and I could only hear a few people talking very quietly way back in the back of the room.  There are a couple of bar areas separate from the main music room, so I guess all the talkers went back there.

There was a guy taking video of my show, which bugged me because he hadn’t asked my permission first.  What are people thinking when they just pull out a video camera and assume it’s okay to keep a record of the show without even asking me if it’s okay?  After the show I talked to the guy and it turned out he was my one SuperFan at that show.  So I didn’t have the heart to tell him he shouldn’t have done that.  This seems to happen more and more at my shows, I wonder what I should do?  The first few times it happened (years ago) I actually stopped the show and asked the people to stop taking video.  But it sort of ruined the show for a minute and made me look like a snooty-bitch, and I don’t want to do that either.  "Oh Edith is such a cunt, she won’t play if someone’s doing video without Her Majesty’s permission."
