I had a stepladder on that hook for awhile, just to make sure it would hold this massive piece of wood! It’s a kid on a skateboard, I think? Whatever it is I really like it. It was made especially for me many years ago by Birddog, aka Bill Santen.

I’m moving to a new apartment in a few days. This is only some of the boxes, and I’m not quite done packing! I know. You should actually go through your stuff and get rid of things BEFORE you move, not after.

Don’t you have some stupid hobby or something that you feel guilty for spending too much love & money on, but secretly inside you do not care? I like bags! And this is my current collection, other than misc. suitcases and computer bags and whatnot. I’ve had many many mountain-piles of other bags in my life, but they’re all gone now. Donated! Oh well. You really can have too many bags.

Took me a month to knit… I’d made one for my sister Lucie and liked it so much I wanted one for myself. I used a free pattern by tentenknits, and the yarn is Misti Alpaca Tonos Worsted, in the colorway Impossiblue.
