A super-quick knit from the book “Hip Knit Hats” by Cathy Carron. There are still a bunch of ends to weave in, stuffed up inside the crown. And I did the bind-off too tight, so it’ll leave a line on my forehead… oh well. Beauty is pain. :-)
Yep I’ve got wild curly hair when it’s shorter, so get over it. You’re not gonna tame that beast — best to just whack it into some reasonable shape and let it do what it’s gonna do.

My stash of e-juice… deliciously flavored propylene glycol plus nicotine, for use with those miraculous new personal vaporizers, aka electronic cigarettes. I’ve ordered even more juice for stockpiling in case it really does get banned in the U.S.

A new hat! Using a pattern by Elizabeth Zimmermann (for the third time). This one’s for myself, I think. And I’m not going to felt it this time. :-)

Hey look what I made! My first actual garment that isn’t a scarf, hat or pair of socks. :-)
Pretty pretty. And waaaarm. And squooooooshy!! My very first, and consequently very favorite pair of hand knitted socks.
There are a few flaws in my knitting that I’m well aware of, which I’m not going to discuss here. (Any more.) Experienced sock knitters may notice those flaws right away just looking at this picture… I’d appreciate it if they’d just shut it, for now, and notice the things that aren’t screwy-looking. And praise my mad newbie sockmaking skillz.
What do you think. Do I look smarter? More likely I look like I’ve been miserable with a cold lately, because I have.
