My partner and I may have been at that show, too. We saw Elvis at the Coliseum (which has now been torn down) sometime around 1980, give or take a few years.

This was another one of my top ten shows. City Coliseum was never my favorite Austin venue, but the location became irrelevant once the music started. I was happy for days after this one. Most memorable moment was Elvis and the Attractions playing a bit of “Back Stabbers” by the O’Jays as a very cool and unexpected segue into “King Horse” … perfect.
And it only cost $10.50 to get in. Wow.
