Isn’t this the 3rd anniversary of the day I moved to New York?  Well, I have two more pages to fill and about that much wakefulness left tonight.  I am in Packmania.  On May 3rd they came and carted off all of Bill’s stuff finally.  It ended up weighing 3500 pounds and cost him $2300.  He called tonight to say it had arrived in Austin.  So the little room which housed his stuff for a year is now being filled by my boxes as I pack my stuff to move to South 6th St.

Last week Steve E. and his friend Gary carted off two vanloads of wood and crap from the new apartment.  D. got paint courtesy of the landlord so it’ll be painted Thursday or Friday.  The floor’s gonna be dark blue, ain’t that nice?  So anyway I’ll be moving my stuff over as soon as the paint is dry in a week or so.  I already unhooked the studio stuff and packed away a whole ton of shit, more stuff than I care to think about.  I hope it all fits.

The gig on May 1st went well.  Romy Kaye, a torchy singer, opened and played too long.  We went on at 12:30 and played ’til 3:00!  Jeff and Andre were exhausted.  Peter Pale played a song between our sets, and Wild Bill showed up to heckle us.  Nora was well pleased and gave us $150 to split 3 ways, not bad.  Although we made more money as a duo.  So our next gig is June 18th, a Friday.  We’ll probably play with Tom Mattioli on drums.

D. and I are so in love and excited about our future together.  I never experienced that with anybody, not even Bill.  So I really hope that we will have a happy life together.  I’m going to work very hard to always love D. and appreciate the wonderful things he’s done for me.  Right now I adore him so much, in so many ways I can’t even express it.  And I want to keep it that way!  I wanna give it all up for him.  Because he is so worth it.  etc etc gushgushgush…

Here’s to the future!
