Lazy weekend
Monday January 31, 2005 – 9:13 amMe and Sarah D. went skating last night — finally! ‘cuz we’d been putting it off for awhile. Eric came along too. Yes, he can skate! Or more importantly, he will skate. So that was lots of fun. Other than that my weekend was pretty lazy. We stayed up real late on Friday at the Hideout and went to the Hollywood afterwards with Nell and Geoff and Sarah G. Saturday we lollygagged around for a long time and then had lunch/dinner at Chipotle. I’m not much of a burrito gal but that was really good so I’ll make an exception for that place. Sunday, skating. And now back to work!

I’m not sure if this matters to you, but Chipotle is owned by McDonald’s (along with Panera, Boston Market, and a few other chains.) Its a source of discussion here in Austin, now that they have outlets on the Drag and Congress.

Oh but I love Panera! And Boston Market too! Damn. And now Chipotle. Guess it’s all part of my transformation, the Trixification of Edith Frost. (Not really… I go to local mom & pop joints more often than not. And even though I’m going to the gym, I’m still fat and lazy.)

In the interest of accuracy, I’m not sure that Panera is owned by McDonalds.
Boston Market and Chipolte are but Panera is a seperate company with its own stock and no mention of McDonalds in its financial reports.

How come the only thing I can think of when reading this is that episode of Seinfeld where Elaine was trying to stick it to one mexican-type clothing store by buying a whole bunch of merchandise at another only to find out they were both owned by the same woman.
