I’m in the parking lot behind the 400 Bar in Minneapolis.  We got here right on time for load-in at 6:00 but of course nobody’s here to meet us.  If we’d been late, you know they would’ve been here waiting!

The Madison show last night went great, what a relief.  The people at the bar/restaurant were really nice, and the audience was very nice also.  They were tolerant of my complaints of nervousness, and bought some CDs after we were done.  It all bodes well for the rest of the tour.  We did a few songs we’d never tried before — "Leaving The Army" from the "Tramps, Traitors & Little Devils" album, and also the Merle Haggard song "Sing Me Back Home" which I sang on the new Pine Valley Cosmonauts album.

We spent the night at Jason’s house — he’s the drummer in Central Falls and just moved to Madison a few weeks ago with his girlfriend Val.  So it was a nice chill place to crash.  They even made us French toast in the morning!!
