That’s funny & great but sounds too good to be true! Like that old hoax that I actually fell for, where you’re supposed to buy a torch-lantern battery and cut it open to find it full of AA batteries? (Which it isn’t.)
Anyway, I gave the battery back to Apple yesterday to “recycle” or whatever they do with their hazmat. They just meekly took it and let me go, didn’t offer a replacement. Fine, whatever… junky-ass thing, I’m glad to get rid of it.

Yeah, the Apple “genius” refused to provide me a free replacement battery, so I used the above method. There were small sparks when I poked two of the bags, which was slightly disconcerting, but it now fits enough to work, though still bulges slightly due in part to its disassembly.
