I'm way past the days when I would have fellas slow down and whistle or yell things at me (because of my looks...LOL!) - but I've found that guys in vans sometimes yell nonsensical things at me (and my family, too!) while we walk on the sidewalk. I think it may have something to do with the crystal meth craze (??) People have so much energy from taking meth (possibly) they just fling non-sequitors at each other randomly. My sis in Florida has this happen to her, too...and she's 52

Maybe maple syrup is a code phrase for drugs (??)

My feelings are that the elderly are on the move. They’re angry, they’re tired of being ignored, and they’re not going to take it anymore. I was driving (slowly, cautiously) through a quiet neighborhood yesterday, and a kindly looking old gentleman in a suit and tweed hat stopped in his tracks on the sidewalk, scowled directly at me, and then flipped me off. I think it’s first time I’ve gotten the finger by anyone outside my age group.
Something’s up.
