Rock for Kids mixer 2
Thursday June 10, 2004 – 2:15 pmSorry to keep hammerin’ y’all with the yammerin’ but guess what? I got an early invite to participate in another auction of mix-CDs to benefit Rock for Kids. It won’t be happening until September or thereabouts but I thought I’d give Clay y’all the heads-up. (grin) I had a lot of fun making the last one; glad I hung on to the tracklist so I won’t repeat anything!

hey, i just got my copy of vol. 1 of the pine valley cosmonauts’ “Barn Dance Favorites.” i assume it’s vol. 1 because it doesn’t have you listed as a contributor (unless you’re “phlossy”). can’t wait for vol. 2!

Yeah I was all confused about that too, but I think I get it now. The thing I sang on was for, like, a supplemental 12″ or a vol. 2 or some extra dealie-bobber like that? Which they’re no longer sure is happening? Now I feel bad for shootin’ my mouth off about it without really understanding the logistics of the whole thing.
That night at the song-poem thing I saw Sally and told her all cheerfully “I’m gonna be on the barn dance record!” She looked at me like I was out of my mind and was all “Really? You are?” and I was all “Yup!” hee hee. Poor Edith. Well, let’s hope that song sees the light of day in some form or another.
Phlossy is John Rice, there’s a picture of him over here. He’s my homey. Well, they’re all my homeys but John is the super-homes. :-) I would say that about Jon Langford too but I’ve never barfed in Langford’s lap the way I have with Phlossy.

well, i was thinking that this thingie came out too fast for your track to make it in time. jon boy is probably working 2 projects ahead.

Thanks for the reminder. Even if you didn’t hang on to the track list , I did and of course would share that with y’all. It’s a good cause (Rock for Kids). Now, if only their auction wasn’t so far away . . .
