When The Bees Are In The Hive

This is a cover of a song by that oldtimey cowgal duo, the Girls of the Golden West. I used to have a page about them on my old site Cowgal’s Home on the Web, circa ‘94 or ‘95… I’m afraid there still isn’t much info about them to be found online. My version was recorded with Michael Krassner at Truckstop Audio here in Chicago on 9/27/97.  I played my red guitar and did the organ part and all the vocals; Mike played guitar, and did a bass part using my SH-101 mini-synth.

The recording was done especially for a compilation called Japanese Rumba that was put out by Yakuza Magazine, which is no longer in print.  However, you may still be able to order a copy of the CD by contacting its publisher Dave McGurgan.
