I sang backups (along with Kelly Hogan and Nora O’Connor) on the song “Day in the Life of a Heel”.
I was super impressed with Nora’s performance the other night at the Lamentations / Wanda Jackson show. I’ve sung harmonies with her a couple of times — I could tell she was really good just from that, but I’d never heard her singing on her own until this show. One word: WOW. And her new record really makes that voice shine.

Kelly Hogan and I did backup vocals all over this record. But there are a LOT of vocals happening, so I’m still trying to figure out exactly which songs I’m on.
Weird… I’ve gotten a couple of spams today that had my OWN address as the "sender". Both were ads for Viagra… no attachments, so I don’t think this has anything to do with the Klez worm. One of them seemed to originate from Korea, and the other from AOL, but they both had the same x-mailer in the header: "The Bat! (v1.52f) Business". Strange!! If I get any more I’ll run ‘em through Spamcop. Haul those headers in for questioning, as they say.

I sang backups (along with Nora O’Connor) on Kelly Hogan’s offering, "Why Me". Other artists include John Doe, Tom Verlaine, Chuck Prophet, Polara, Mark Kozelek, Jon Langford, the Mother Hips, Paul Burch, and Stephen Bruton.
I got a couple of blurbs in on an episode of Artbeat, on WTTW Network Chicago. The episode was hosted by Nick Tremulis and featured dozens of Chicago-area musicians, including Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick; Jon Langford; Robbie Fulks; Kelly Hogan and Neko Case.
