Paul Caporino from M.O.T.O. (via Barry Phipps’ Flickr)- Reading the internet speculation about Donnie Darko, which we saw last night. I sure do dig the freaky sci-fi flicks. #
- Ultrasound was no biggie at all. Results later, but if there’s anything majorly wrong, the radiologist deserves an Academy Award for acting. #
- Today’s mail brought this year’s holiday CD from the Greenbergs: Ann-Marie, Mark, Georgia, August and now Frankie too! Excited to hear it. #

I’m a top tenner!!
Saturday December 24, 2005 – 1:12 amIt’s silly, but I was so excited to find out that Bob Mehr showed me a little love on this year’s top ten for the Chicago Reader. I had been ego-surfing all the blogs with top ten lists, looking for my name and never seeing it, and thinkin’ "that’s what I get for releasing an album on November 15th!!" Oh of course it has to be a matter of timing, it couldn’t possibly mean they didn’t like my record enough, ha ha!! Anyway it’s very cool and I can stop obsessing over it now. :-) Also super SUPER cool that he placed M.O.T.O. at number one!! Paul Caporino is the hardest working man in show business, and definitely the greatest songwriter I know doing that pop/punk thang. There’s nobody on earth that deserves that spot more than him, IMHO. All hail the Masters of the Obvious!!

I did backup vocals on the songs "Breakout", "For a Friend", "Elephant Candy", and "What Do You Want The Girl To Do". I may be on others as well. The lead singer of Chestnut Station is my old friend Rian Murphy, who also produced my records Calling Over Time, Love is Real and Wonder Wonder.
