• Running WordPress 2.7 RC1, tweeting from dashboard w/ Twitter Tools. Too bad I overwrote the plugin and broke the styling changes I’d made. #

I just started (again) using the TwitterTools plugin for WordPress to post individual tweets directly to my blog. Problem is, I wasn’t happy with the way the tweets were being displayed — raw and unstyled, and with no linkback to the status page on Twitter. When you use the post-to-digest feature it does have the linkback, and it’s easy to style because you can target the enclosing list element. So I wanted to copy those two features over for the individual tweet-to-blog posts. So I hacked that plugin into shape! I’ll post the steps I took in case it comes in handy for someone else.

• Coughed up the Euros to register TextMate. I’m going to be a happy coder from now on, using this with Transmit. Still like Coda too, but… #

• Finally finished “A Fire Upon the Deep” by Vernor Vinge. Great book, balls-to-the-wall SF. Hard to get into at first, then hard to put down. #
• I’ve been researching. Mutual followers CAN see my actions section on Twitter after all. Some people have too many Twitter accounts. (grin) #
• Talked on the phone w/ Shelley for like two hours. It’s not her or me, it’s the combination. We can YAK. So good to have a friend like that. #
