Sure has been snowy around here!  We got a whole foot of snow over the weekend… I haven’t even left the neighborhood, just been mindin’ my own business, or trying to.  Not always easy, heheh!  Not in this world of instant communication via e-mail, telephone and IM.  Screw that, man, it’s better to talk to people in person if you ask me.  Too bad it’s so much easier said than done, but we try.

Speaking seeing people in person, Eric came over last night, we got Thai food and watched Office Space.  In the morning we had breakfast at my corner diner and parted ways so he could get some stuff done.  I spent the afternoon at John’s, ripping a bunch of his CDs and watching his new DVD of the 4th season of Mr. Show.  It was fun, and so nice to hang out with him and see the kitties.  I’ve missed the little mewels a lot but it doesn’t seem like they missed me that much!  They pretty much slept through the whole visit but whatever, I got some pettin’s in.  John’s a good friend.  He loaded me down with a bunch of techno music for my workouts, and other stuff he thought I’d dig, like Bobbie Gentry, Lee Dorsey and Francoise Hardy.  It was great to get all that stuff but mainly it was good to see him and the cats.  I want to keep in touch more than I have been.  My list of really good friends is appallingly short, I’m a pretty solitary kinda gal.  So I need to make sure to stay in touch with any good pals I can… if I can be bothered to drag my ass over to pick up the damn phone or send a damn e-mail every once in awhile…!!  Which is not seeing them in person, but it’s a start.
