This is not funny
Tuesday June 29, 2004 – 11:08 amI think my Windows PC just died now too. It won’t boot, it won’t recognize the hard drive *or* the CD. So now the only working computer I have is my newer iBook. I’m scared to even use it.

I sweet-talked it into booting again. But what the hell is going on? I’m thinking it might be a funky USB keyboard interrupting the boot process. Unless it’s something worse. Ffffuck!

eek!
That’s rather bizarre that a USB keyboard would do that. Maybe it’s an issue with the IDE cables or the controller on the motherboard?
If it happens again, hunt me down. :)

Dude, I’m putting duct-tape over the power button.

Good call.
The only trouble is that since it’s a Windows box, it’s only a matter of time before the next reboot. :/

About how old are these? I don’t know what the life expectancy of a computer is these days. I have a PC, but plan to get a MAC in a year or so. Mine will probably get outdated before it dies, I’m not really familiar with all of this tech stuff, I just know how to get on the internet!

Old enough! The PC is maybe 4 years old, the old iBook is 2-1/2.
