Apple just released updated versions of iCal and iSync.  ‘Bout time, too.  Both of them seem to be running much faster for me now, thank goodness.

You might remember my mission of 6 months ago, which was to move all the data that used to live on my PalmPilot onto the iPod and/or the various iApps in OS X.  I went ahead and did that, but it didn’t work out perfectly… the data’s all there but I can’t say my life has gotten any easier since then.  The address book is fine, I do use that regularly, but iCal was so slow and cumbersome to work with that I pretty much abandoned it and stopped entering current stuff into the calendar.  iSync was slow as hell to update my iPod; the only reason it was usable is because it runs in the background and does its thing automatically.  Well, I hope this update will encourage me to use iCal more.  Wouldn’t it be groovy if I could make it pull in all my blog posts and turn them into calendar entries?
