HEY!!  We’re in a Super 8 in Miles City, Montana, on our way out to Portland.  Everything’s going great with the tour, but I’ve had a terrible time trying to get connected to the net with my cellphone AND with AOL.  I finally got online using a number I got off a list of Earthlink dialup numbers that I happened to have on my computer.  Everything was working fine when I was at home, but the first time I tried connecting in the van once we were on the road, the Mac tells me that I need a driver for the PalmConnect USB thingy… do I want to connect to the internet to search for the driver?  Well, sure I want to, but of course it can’t connect!!!  Fucking thing.  I just went to Palm and got the driver.  And this thing’s prolly about to boot me offline for typing too long… so I’m going to try to install the driver tomorrow and see if I can’t get it going.  At least I got online so I could sift through my e-mail (a hundred spams!).
