Video treats
Monday May 5, 2003 – 10:23 amYou’ve heard the records. You’ve seen the shows. You’ve read the blog. Now ladies and gentlemen, I give you: the videos!! Please let me know what you think, especially if you like ‘em.
I’m going to have to watch my bandwidth very carefully; I might not be able to host the high-grade versions very long if too many people want ‘em.

WELL??? Y’all gobble up one fifth of my monthly allotment of bandwidth in one day and there’s not even ONE comment?
I WANT MAIL! I WANT MAIL! I WANT MAIL!
May 6th, 2003 at 1:20 am
DAMN… that is a lot of damn bandwidth indeed…

I want comments about the VIDEOS… stop looking at my finger!! :-P
May 6th, 2003 at 2:09 am
Hey - I liked ‘em. I really liked the ‘Ancestors’ video.
May 6th, 2003 at 2:16 am
Thank you, that’s more like it. :-)
May 6th, 2003 at 2:39 am
the video for ‘my god insane’ is gorgeous! i’d forgotten how much i love that song.
thanks for sharing with us… gonna pull out the 2 x 7" now.
May 6th, 2003 at 2:39 am
The Anscestors video was my favorite as well. They’re neat, great quality, even at lo. Thank you for putting them up. But perhaps you want to know that the link for video on the side bar 404’s (you wrote videos instead of video in the link).
May 6th, 2003 at 4:09 am
Um, yeah. I did that, because that’s what I always do. :-| Thanks for letting me know!!
May 6th, 2003 at 7:17 am
Edith, the videos are wonderful. You rock. Thank you.
May 6th, 2003 at 7:24 am
Yayyyy!!! I’m psyched, ‘cuz you have no idea what a pain in the ass it was for me to get that shit into digital form.
May 6th, 2003 at 7:38 am
wheee…I’m so exited you did this. My dialup is lame, and I’m going to have to wait for a viewing until I can hijack someone’s DSL/cable, which will be very soon….I didn’t even know you had videos! Hell yes, Edith. you go girl.
I did try to attempt downloading the small version of My God Insane, but it linked me right to the 20+MB version….hmmm.

Fuck a duck. That was the stoopidest thing I’ve done in awhile. Good thing you told me Alyce, no wonder the bandwidth is thru the roof!!
May 6th, 2003 at 8:35 am
So somehow alyce’s comment ended up as your entry, and now the link to the video is gone, so I can’t see the videos. Oh, and I don’t have sound available with clips and am too much of a moron to figure out how to get it (can you help? couldn’t be hard). I had saved the videos for tonight, but…
May 6th, 2003 at 8:41 am
ARGH!! That time it was SAFARI’s fault!! It’s happened to me before where text jumps from one textarea to another. I’m going back to Camino until they get this together.
Thank you Lucie…

The videops were beautriful, all 3. even though don’t know shit about the techie shit tro wqatch ‘em, there they wewre in living color and sounmd. Now, of couyrse, we want more, nore, more. I’m inspired to make music videos of my favorite songs of yours. Ok, so why not have an Edith Frost-inspred music video film fiesta: let your countless fans make their own music videos of their faves, and send them to you. You get to wtach and the pick of the litter gets shown on your blog or at Sundance or your favorite bar ‘n grill, or
someplace… (hint: Two Boots Cinema in NYC is a real nice venue, and great pizza, too)
May 6th, 2003 at 11:08 am
I couldn’t see any of them because it was taking to long to load. I can send you a mixed CD instead of money in the mail, but then I’d be spending more money if I shipped it out priority. Nevermind, I didn’t eat up a lot of your bandwidth as to me not seeing any of your videos and all.
May 6th, 2003 at 11:36 am
Oh Eda, I was finally able to watch them and they are beautiful. The music is great, and it was nice to actually *see* you, even if only on video. Can’t wait to show them to the boys. What I wonder, though, is how you haven’t aged at all since 1993.

Dear Edith,
I saw your video. I liked it but I wish you were dancing in it. Oh yeah. I have a funny joke for you. What do you call a cow on the ground? Ground Beef. Get it? Thank you for the camera. I took over a hundred and three pictures. Goodbye.
Love,
Marshall
p.s. Why is six afraid of seven? Because seven eight nine. Get it?

HAHAHA!!! I’m so glad you’re digging the camera Marshall. You know you can take little videos with that thing. You should make a video of everybody dancing!
