Well, I got Windows XP yesterday and installed it on my machine.  Now I’m using it happily and migrating all my shit over from the old partition.  I’m using the NTFS file system on my XP partition, and XP is much better about segregating the different users’ personal files and settings.  And folders can be made private from other users, which means it’ll be much better off when both me and John are using this computer!  I’ll have my settings and documents and he’ll have his.  Hopefully he won’t have any problems and need a setting changed while I’m off on tour or something.

Rian Murphy has been talking to me about possibly playing a one-off show at a club in Oslo, Norway.  There’s some club that really really wants me!  I told him to tell them that I didn’t feel comfortable flying overseas right now (wartime and all), and that even in peacetime I didn’t want to go there by myself… I thought that would throw them off for awhile but they countered with an offer to let me come with one other person. Or anyway, they want to know how much it would cost them etc.  So we’re still in the talking stages, but it looks like I might get to go to Norway sometime soon!  They’re asking if I can come there for a show on December 13th, but I don’t know if it could actually happen that soon.

As far as who I would bring to Norway if I could… well, probably I’d want to bring Jim ‘cuz he’s such the multi-instrumentalist.  If Jim couldn’t go, then of course I’d ask Ryan Hembrey (who’d be pissed that I didn’t ask him first!).  If Ryan couldn’t go then I guess I’d ask Amy Domingues next.  Shouldn’t be too hard to find somebody willing to go to Norway for a few days!  I have a message in to Becker asking him to call me back about a show… I didn’t mention the Norway part.  Heheh.
